East Bali Full Day Tour: Heaven's Gate, Royal Palaces & Cave Waterfall
East Bali packs four of the island's most distinct landmarks into one route. This full-day tour moves from a sacred mountain temple to two royal water palaces, then ends inside a cave waterfall. Your first stop is Lempuyang Temple, home to Bali's famous Heaven's Gate. The split stone gate frames Mount Agung directly behind it, one of the most recognized views on the island. From there, you head to Tirta Gangga Water Palace, built by the King of Karangasem in 1948. Walk across stepping stones over koi ponds, past stone fountains, and through tiered gardens at your own pace. Taman Ujung Water Palace comes next. This royal complex features large reflecting pools, stone bridges, and classical Balinese architecture. From the upper terraces, you see the ocean and Mount Agung at the same time. The day ends at Tukad Cepung Waterfall, set inside a narrow cave gorge. When sunlight breaks through the rock opening above, the light and mist create one of East Bali's most striking natural scenes.
